Probably 3 units - there are 100 units/ml (1 ml = 1 cc) and our about 24 lb dog gets 14 units 2x/day.

Mine would have a can of cat food every morning, and I'd give her the shot in the scruff of her neck while she ate - and she hardly noticed.

Up until that point, I'd always been squeamish of needles and blood. But after a few years of giving the cat shots, I had no problems...

I got that cat when I was 6 or 7, and she died when I was 23...I still think about her, and the other one I lost last year.

Cats….in theory you can train cats….but eh…they are so light you can just push them off. It does not take long for them to learn to stay off.

Most dogs are willingly and eager to be brainwashed. You can train them to do whatever you want and they love it, as long as you are showing them attention they will love you to death. The problem with dogs is, it is easy to train them to do the wrong thing unknowingly.

Special tricks I have trained my dog to do other then the standard sit, lay, rollover etc, etc.
To close a door. If I tell him to go close a door he comes back soo damn happy and proud of him self.
I do not read the newspaper, but I have it delivered every morning because it makes him so happy to go get it.

I am not trying to make you get a pet, if ya do not want one then it is best you do not have one. But they do rock if you show just a little attention to them!

Plus…ok, seriously….never get a dog just for this….but if you are out walking a cute and friendly dog all of a sudden you are the most trustworthy man in the world to women. I mean, typically women would be a little nervous about coming across a man in the middle of the woods/park at 9pm when she is out jogging/exercising….but not when you have a cute friendly dog. I have had many of women walk across a 4 lane road just to see the doggy and playfully flirt. Unfortunately though….a lot of gay guys use it as an excuse to hit on me too!

Don't forget that canines do eat veg naturally. Wolves, as an example, get all the nutrients they need when devouring caribou and other herbivores. Particularly through the intestines - where veg matter is still digesting - and blood.

Personally I think the best way to feed a dog is a blend of both meat and meat byproducts as well as the veg (kibble).

There's absolutely no reason to go back to the Laserdisc version -- they did a lot of restoration prior to the changes they made in the 90s, and you don't think they have that restored footage available? In high-resolution, digital, anamorphic format? Yeah, and I've got a bridge to sell you too.

Oh, they have it. And they'll put it out next year, for the 30th anniversary. Or some other point in the future, say when the SW TV show launches. It's all about selling you the same shit over and over.

And hey! Who came up with the idea that the original version of the movie should be "a bonus feature"? WTF? They seriously need to do some drug testing there...

To be honest the Original 70's versions sucked. The updated one were much better other then the fact that gweedo shot first.

Sucky bits in the revamped trilogy:
1) Greedo shoots first.
2) The entire Jabba the Hut scene in Ep4
3) The jawa falling off some beast on the way into the city
4) The changed ending in Jedi

There are a few bits that are questionable (redubbing Boba Fett's voice, the snow monster scene in Empire), but they're not absolutely stupid. But yes, otherwise the cleaned up versions are much more "watchable".

But the originals, warts and all, need to be available for film history reasons.

And based on that link -- screw Lucas. I won't buy them. Oh, and the list price for the DS Lite appears to be $129 in the US (based on a number of stores offering pre-orders for it at that price). Best deal isn't that $119 -- get it from Target or Buy.com and use a 10% off coupon. Depending on shipping, that may save you a few bucks.

Or wait for it to actually come out and see what the weekly ads are then. The only reason to pre-order is if you think it's going to sell out for weeks on end.

Its true.

If your going to get a pet make sure you can give it the time and space it deserves, and make sure you get a pet that fits your lifestyle. For instance a larger dog if you like to go for long walks/runs, or small sleepy cats if you live in a van opposite someones house...

People are so often blinded by how cute the animal is that they end up getting one that just turns their life into a pain, and after a while they end up getting rid of it (This annoys me, I used to volunteer at an animal shelter, and it was one of the most common things to see "Yeah we got this dog at christmas and it keeps taking a crap on the carpet, and now we dont want it..." gah).

If you're planning on modding your DS (and not just for warez; Heretic, Hexen, SCUMM, along with the obligitory emulators and some actually fun DS/GBA homebrew, hell even a Linux port) I would AVOID a Lite, since a lot of people are running into bricks when flashing it over.

But that's probably rather unlikely, the Lite is a downright sexy device otherwise.

I'm not really an animal lover I've always found it a little un-natural for humans and animals to live under 1 roof. I don't understand how people can hug and kiss anmials like they are human beings.

I was not an animal person till I got one. *shrugs*
