bowl designed to keep dogs from eating too fast (thanks Ant). A good idea,
but I'm not convinced… Gunnar eats two meals a day that are each over a pound of meat in probably
about two minutes all told, and it looks like the only way that bowl would slow
him down is the time it would take to eat the plastic nubs.

(I can't remember if we've discussed this, if so, sorry) How do you treat that? I had a cat who was diabetic for the last few years of her life, and I gave her an insulin shot every morning over breakfast...
She gets insulin shots 2x a day - 14 units each.
She actually comes over and sits on the kitchen rug waiting for it before I give it to her.
There will come a moment when you have the chance to do the right thing.
