Sepharo, so you've actually got the game? What, is it out in retail now?

I didn't see it out yet at BB.

It's possible to get Silent Assasin on every level but the first/demo level. I have my game on normal difficulty and in some levels I got SA just by doing what I thought was the best route to avoid detection. When the stats pop up it's like...

0 kills [they don't include targets in kills]
0 witnesses
0 shots fired
0 alarms
3 accidents
No - Spotted on Camera

I'm missing a few stats but you get the gist.

Yea, that concludes it. If venomhed is as stupid as he makes himself to be, he's probably one of those high-school socialists. You can never escape them, even on teh intarwebs.

I could care less about the game business and its $ales. Games suck at this point with only a finite few being really stellar. Examples are BF2, Oblivion, Rome Total War, Splinter Cell.

Too many "me too" games out there and I am glad to point out just how much they suck, in my honest opinion.

As far as warez it will be around in one form or another. But in you eyes piracy is bad. Just wait till all programs/games have an online/serial/starforce protection on them. When the developers then reclaim all that lost revenue, do you think they will "kick down?".

Nope the price will go up, dramatically, until people stop buying or whatever. Music sucks big time right now as well as mainstream movies. Again, blamed on piracy. I don't download music, get some movies, and all I can say is "God damn, i am SO glad I didn't pay for that shit!"

In the meantime, you stay on your side of the fence, I'll stay on mine. I love sepratism.

Freedom of speech asshole.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply.

You might want to consider someone besides your own selfish self-interests though. Many publishers and developers might not look on the site too kindly if warez talk becomes commonplace. At that point news doesn't get mailed into Stephen and the site slowly goes downhill.

but, of course, that won't affect you.....asshole.

In any case, I'm just pissed that the highest I can get is Eraser in the headlines for the demo

Don't worry, your rating in the training level has no impact upon your total game rating or notoriety.

I assumed the series would've had some depth insofar as story goes after all this time and not some brief 60 second revenge fantasy to justify a hit. My bad. Maybe I don't grasp the serties as I should then. *shrug*

You're right, you don't. Hitman has never been about story. It's all about gameplay. If you want a good story, play an adventure game. Though, Blood Money has by far the most developed storyline of all the games in the series.

Hump you're the one who started this discussion and are now bringing it back up. In the end Blue has the final call and if he wishes to remove the offending matter he can do so.

Sorry, but I don't hang around for hours waiting for a reply to my post. I came back, noticed Venomheds post and replied. I think you would've domne the same given his response. I'm fully aware of who's site it is and that he has the final decision...I merely pointed out to the guy that it wasn't all about him.

re; my opinion on the demo....thats all it is, an opinion. I assumed the series would've had some depth insofar as story goes after all this time and not some brief 60 second revenge fantasy to justify a hit. My bad. Maybe I don't grasp the serties as I should then. *shrug*

I was sold an illegal copy that I wasn't aware of which I've already returned. Now with that out of the way. This game is frikin awesome! The 2nd mission totally kicked ass and reminded me what I loved so much about the original Hitman. Back to the routes! You guys wlll be missing out on a great game with such better missions than the one in this tutorial if you don't pick up the full!(Yes buy the full!). It's a great game and they did a great job on it. Also you can start the mission with a silencer or any gun that you choose. At least in the full. Though I prefer going in without any and trying to just use a knife or piano wire to off people. I love the knife. I don't mind having to kill as many people as I need to in the game, though I'd a lot funner when you don't use a gun at all while doing that. Finished the 2nd mission with 11 kills and no guns involved. Was heck of a lot of fun that way.

If you are not a perfectionist, you shouldn't be playing Hitman.

Which pisses me off about the demo, because you can't beat it without killing no less than 12 people and still remain undetected. Note that the tutorial has you off around 17, but I found ways around killing a lot of people by using the coin, etc. rather than what the tutorial states. However, the snipers, two guys in the room, elevator guy, etc. you have to kill, no way around it. Hopefully its not reflective of the game, because all previous games you could make it all the way thru levels without killing anyone but the target with a few exceptions (there were sometimes one guy that you had to kill to get through, but rarely more than 1 and often just two if that).

In any case, I'm just pissed that the highest I can get is Eraser in the headlines for the demo

I liked Hitman 1, thought it was good until the F@#$ed up ending, but even that was o.k. Hitman 2, didn't care for then I think there was some messed up version on the Xbox I played... or that was hitman 2, can't remember.

This seems ok, the controls are a lot tighter and camera isn't a pain the ass, which is nice.

Just a little dissapointing because they haven't really advanced the gameplay that much, granted the demo was a tutorial level so if I said it's linear that might not be the case. But it's still extremely scripted

IE: Step 1: Do this, Step 2: Do that, Step 3: Do this now

And if you dont follow the steps you either break the game, fail the mission, and just kill everyone in the level.
