Oblivion's Rating to M announces a change in the ESRB rating for The Elder
Scrolls IV: Oblivion to "M" for mature, the game had previously been rated "T"
(teen). Word is: "The content causing the ESRB to change the rating involves
more detailed depictions of blood and gore than were considered in the original
rating, as well as the presence of a locked-out art file or 'skin' that, if
accessed through a third party modification to the PC version of the game,
allows the user to play with topless versions of female characters."
It should have been mature from the beginning but that's not the point - the ESRB have become a bit of a joke recently. Anyway, why bother when no-one pays any attention to it? The only people that care are the ones too uptight to let their kids play this sort of game anyway.
