Obliviondownloads.com is now online
(thanks
Shacknews),
offering sales of in-game items for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. They have a
couple of items listed as "coming soon," and are offering their first item, the
same horse armor that was released for the 360 version on the Xbox Live
Marketplace. We tried to calculate the amortized cost of a full expansion based
on the item's $1.99 sale price, but it broke our calculator. We're not the only
ones struck by this,
Gamers With
Jobs has a Q&A with Bethesda Softworks' Pete Hines examining the
justifications for this, learning, among other things, that this actually has
nothing to do with expansion plans: "This has nothing to do with what we might
or might not do with an expansion."
