The interface really needs a rework on the PC, IMO. Being able to have a mini-map up on screen would be great, but mostly I just want to be able to
see more stuff at once than I can now. So yeah -- I'm down with the calls for smaller fonts, tooltips, and re-sizable windows.
A couple of things are driving me a little coo-coo though:
I HATE how you can't have your inventory window - with its 7 whole lines of useful information - visible at the same time as something like a container or a corpse. Clicking back and forth to compare lewtz is just annoying. Not show-stopping, but definitely annoying.
I HATE having to move the sluggish UI mouse pointer over to "Done" or "X", just so I can click it to get out of a UI interface. Given that the UI is a direct port from the console version, why can't I just click RMB to back out of windows? I
know you only need to tap "B" on the XB..
And the one that I know is just going to piss me right off sometime later in the game happens when you kill something in tall grass. NOT ONLY is their corpse hard enough to find, but just FORGET about finding where the weapon they had equipped ended up. That shit's swallowed up by the foliage and gone, Jack. Especially if you're standing on a hill.
I can't wait until this happens when I finally kill something that drops something really valuable/powerful/important
I mean.. I like the way Havok is in charge of the items once something dies, but there needs to be a way to spot dropped items in tall grass, etc. I notice the game already has a Thief-esque 'shimmer' on items which are in complete shadow, so that would work, but even just keeping them listed under a corpse's inventory would be an improvement..
Otherwise, this game is a complete marvel. I'll never finish it -- too much fun stuff keeps getting between me and the main storyline. Sure hope Jeoffrey figures that out before it's too late!

It may be that one day a young man will adore a Pinata.

I'm not even angry. I'm being so sincere right now, even though you broke my heart and killed me.
