I pay 44.95 for my FiOS 15mb connection and love it. Better yet, I now have FiOS TV here and was able to get rid of the <passion>hated</passion> Cox cable I had earlier.
I was up too late yesterday playing Oblivion for the 360, which is usually a very good sign. I've done a little bit of exploring, but mostly I've been doing the main story line (closed the first Oblivion gate). I'm playing as a thief/bowist. I find that these type of characters are generally harder to play in RPGs, but I haven't had any difficulty so far. As someone mentioned earlier, the 3x sneak attack (from a distance, with a bow) is sweet. Although I like playing as a bowist, it's going to end up frustrating me on the 360 because I hate aiming with an analog stick; it would be much better with a mouse.
Surprisingly to me, I'm not as impressed with the graphics as I thought I would be. They're very good, but I'm just not blown away (like I was with Morrowind). For example, there are times when you're talking to someone and their face is completely washed out by the HDR lighting: just a bright, glowy, orange blob in the middle of the screen. I often see seams (not texture, but polygon) on the buildings. Morrowind seemed to have a much more interesting landscape. I get tired of looking at trees all the time :). On the other hand, some of the effects are awesome, like when walking up to an oblivion gate.
The tombs and things in Morrowind were tiny, not so in Oblivion. I spent an hour and a half going through a dungeon (not the tutorial one) and I didn't even take one of the branches. It's definatly a huge game that will keep me busy for a long while to come.
I enjoy it, but it's not as good as what I [probably impossibly] expected.
