Command and Conquer Website (thanks Frans) now offers a new patch for
Command & Conquer: The First Decade, updating the recently released RTS
mega-bundle to version 1.01. Here's the accompanying description: "Fixed missing
movies from Covert Operations, Red Alert, and the Red Alert Expansion packs."
Optimized? Nah, they have the Win95 compatibility flags set. As for being worth getting, there will be more patches needed. Check out the EA C&C TFD support forum for discussions regarding the remaining problems. Some people can run the games fine, but others are having spotty luck. My problems include not being able to move a unit to the top left corner of the screen and gradual Windows GUI corruption leading to game/system lockup.
