No kidding, the cockpit instruments and driver hands look like they were scratched on with MS Paint.

As long as they make it support split-axis pedals, I'll give it a whirl. I was a HUGE TD3 junkie back in the day

I dunno whether its the over use of motion blur and pixel shading where they shouldn't or the bad modelling and texturing, but that doesn't make me think anything but 'oh, its PGR3 but crappier'.

I think Test Drive for the Amiga was one of the first games I really loved... This is a must have for my 360, but can't see myself going for it on pc.

Sorry this game is one of the games i was going to buy when i get an Xbox 360. The features the game has just blow my mind away. The ability to buy ingame apartments for your driver and to drive over 1000 miles of Hawaiian roads? Damn that sounds great. Not to mention that it has a hell of a lot of cars to drive around.

This is one i will be buying. Probably for the 360 (when i get one) but i'll still be getting it.

It's a shame that Test Drive is now considered a "Console" series. Yeah sure, they throw one on the PC, but really, it is now more of a console series.

Anyone remember Test Drive 2, The Duel? I remember playing that on my Commodore 64. Had the Muscle Car add-on and the California scenery add-on. God, those were the days. 15 minutes of disk loading to play what was (And maybe still is) the best 5-10 minutes of pure video-game driving I ever experienced.

Atari, wasn't the last game for PC and Consoles that they published turn out to be Driv3r? Hell did it even end up coming out for the PC?

Using a steering wheel on a Burnout game is like using the Space Shuttle controls to fly a kite.

I can't think of a single iteration of this series that I enjoyed.

Oh man, didn't you ever play Test Drive 3?

I wish they still made racing games like this! Wide open levels. Dozens of paths to pick. Construction workers you couldn't run down! Chickens on every track! Code wheel copy protection!

Well, scratch those last three, but the game rocked at the time.

with Oblivion, Most Wanted

You are lumping Oblivion with MW? Die.

It's weird that before only the most popular PC games would make it to consoles (anyone remember DOOM on SNES), now several major titles on consoles are being ported to PC, of course we usually get a poor excuse for a port, while they get dumbed down ruined versions of PC games.. I'm not sure who's better off.

It's the rare exception for things like Morrowind/Oblivion where the devs really want the game to work on both systems, instead of having some interns crap out a port without even adding a menu you can use your damn mouse in.

I haven't played any test drive game in years, the one I think I can remember on Ps1 sucked, but there seems to be some hype about the newer ones, hopefully they will have a demo.

So honestly...with Oblivion, Most Wanted, and now Test Drive, as well as most of the other titles as PC games, is there really any reason to own an Xbox 360 if you can afford a decent gaming PC?
