Techland sends the official announcement for Xpand Rally Xtreme
(story), xplaining what it will entail:
Techlad announces the beginning of Xpand Rally Xtreme development.
Xpand Rally Xtreme – as this is the title of the sequel – will contain similar content to the original Xpand Rally but in totally xtreme variation. In game, apart from well known rally cars, gamers will find super-fast GT vehicles, DTR group buggies, off-road 4x4 cars and Monster Trucks group trucks. Game will also present about 40 tracks in typical SS contests, off-road cross-country rides, and racing track races against challenging opponents.
Like the original XR, game contains career mode, single races and multiplayer. It will be based on the proven Chrome Engine and players will get the ChromEd editor to create their own tracks and even game modes.

Starforce this, Starforce that. I think the only good game I've played that has SF protection is Splinter Cell CT. Lions, Tigers, and Star Force! oh my!
I long for the days of "Is this the patch that makes the game fun?" comments. All we have now are "It's gonna have Starforce/Does this demo have Starforce?" stuff. 
If they decide to drop the Starforce, I'd be very interested in this.
I wouldn't - Even without Starforce the engine is a bug riddled pile of shit.

Chrome was a gorgeous engine for its time. The sequel to Chrome runs very smooth as does Xpand Rally.
