Each of the seven AI drivers is fully fleshed out with bios, photos and driver avatars (which of course you get to punish by wrecking their car and sending them flying out thru the windshield). Gamecloud's Stargate Worlds Q&A talks with Chris Klug of Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment about their plans to bring the popular sci-fi TV series to life as an MMORPG, though the answers are mostly generic: "The founders are big fans of Stargate and also it takes less time to develop a game based on a license than a game based on original IP. And you have to make sure that the new IP is any good. Stargate also gives us credibility." - Paradox Interactive
The Wargamer's Paradox Interactive Q&A talks with Fredrik Lindgren of Paradox Interactive: "The fans of our games will recognize a lot of the games we publish as well. Rather than publishing totally new types of games, we are looking to publish the type of games our fans play anyway. This way we hope to fill a void left by some of the big strategy games publishers. We are also looking for a more solid online strategy and soon we will be releasing more good strategy games, including backlist titles, to the market. All the games we are looking to publish are initially targeted towards already existing fans." - Telltale Games
Working-title's Telltale Games Q&A talks with the folks at Telltale Games about the first episode of Bone, the next installment in the series, and more: "If you look at the online space, $20 is the norm for games that have much lower production values. Obviously there is an optimal balance between production values, length of experience and price and that is something that varies by gaming segment. Our goal is to hit the right mix with these key factors. If you think about it, there has been a general complaint about the declining quality of adventure games. Part of that results from the economics of a consumer demanded lower price point. Quality isn’t cheap. That being said, our goal is to find a pricing strategy that makes gamers feel good about their purchase."

The AI changes in Flatout2 sound very cool. I wonder if they just remember everything from career mode or if quick race stuff also has an effect. It would be nice to be able to safely experiment in quick race mode without getting all of the AI drivers permanently mad at you in future career races.
The new screenshots are looking cool. I hope they don't replace too many old muscle cars with modern ones. I'm wondering if they will ever race against each other in the final version. It looks like fans of both should be happy though.
I also hope they fight off any pressure to make the physics arcade level and less simlike. It's a good balance now and it would ruin it to make it more arcade.
I can't wait for this summer.

I can't wait to see this game fall flat on its face. The idea that someone thought Stargate would make a good MMO is just comical. Not to mention that making a game based on an established IP usually spells disaster, as there are a hundred hoops you have to jump through to get each element of the game approved.
The only reason this game exists is to make a quick dollar from diehard Stargate fans who will buy it even if the reviews are bad. Sure they will find out the game is uninspired (Like Matrix Online), but by then they will have already purchased their copy.
