..and thus are not fun.

Olympics are a test of athleticism. Sure we have a few areas like hockey, but we have entire games based on that. The rest of it is just a test of strength, stamina, and skill at what ever the sport entails. Something impossible to translate to a video game, since the whole point of it is lost.

which may or may not include any facts.
i love those 'may or may not' cover our ass disclaimers, reminds me of the "Safe Harbor Statements" you see on the bottom of every financial document -

Safe Harbor Statement under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995:

This release may contain forward-looking statements involving risks
and uncertainties that may cause actual future events or results to
differ materially and adversely from those described in the forward-
looking statements. <company name> disclaims any obligation to
revise or update any forward-looking statement that may be made
from time to time by it or on its behalf.
LOL meaning "Hey, we just pulled this report out of our ass!"

edit: how about this - Atari could sell itself back to...
JACK TRAMIEL again!
he was the boob who ran it into the ground in the 1980's, among other things firing over 1000 employees and rejecting an offer from Nintendo to sell some crazy thing called the "Famicon" (aka NES) under the Atari label. doh!

They have an opinion on everything, but that opinion is based solely on their own observations, which may or may not include any facts.

Their observations are exactly what they're paid for. "Which may or not include any fact," well..what other information do you have to go on? You have to start somewhere factual before you can base conclusions and hunches.

Analysts have always struck me as being very much like the nosy neighbor. They have an opinion on everything, but that opinion is based solely on their own observations, which may or may not include any facts. Gartner is the worst of the bunch by far, but most of them are completely out to lunch, especially in the technology sector.

It reminds me of BBC documentary on Ocean and Imagine back in the late 1980s: http://www.youtube.com/w/Commercial-Breaks%3A-Imagine-%26-Ocean-Games?v=jk6NQA8U7Hg
