Into the Black

So long Arrested. The show ended on quite a high note with four very funny episodes.

Oh man Creston, you need to watch the original version of The Office from BBC then.

Seriously, I heard the american version started to write it's own material, but the episodes I saw were the same script and it felt like they had the dvd of the uk version playing behind the camera and were trying to act it out.

eh - just spend another year or so of your life playing the game and you might have enough game money to buy the game armor...

if you dont die first, that is

The 15k armor is 15k for each item. It'll cost ya 60k total, and that's not including crafting materials. Sorry to burst your bubble....

Check out the DVDs. A lot of the witty jokes you can't really get unless you've seen previous episodes.

I could never get into Arrested Development. It was funny, but not funny enough for me to remember to watch it each week. My friends all think it's the greatest show in all of history. I *did* watch last night's finale because there was nothing else on and I LOVED it. It seemed much sillier than the usual episodes I had seen. Now I'm sad it's gone!

and got pretty silly to attract viewers.
I just noticed this comment. Ha. The extra silliness and dumbing down definitely attracted me.

In other news, I've finally got >15K in GW... now I need to find out how to get that armor... (for my lvl20 Monk/Mesmer)

Blue did update the HL2 story, so my guess is there isn't a whole lot of news to go up atm.

And seriously, if you ment The Office, I think every person should be shot who thinks the American version of the office is funny; its like some bad re-inactment of a brilliant show.

It's pretty funny, although I don't make a habit of watching it. But if it's on I'll keep watching.
Is it a remake / ripoff of something? You seem to imply that.

It's a remake of the UK show "The Office". I watched a couple of the US remakes and wasn't entranced but most sitcoms need some time so I probably didn't give it a fair chance. The remake has gotten good numbers so I'll probably BT it some time. Too many good shows, not enough time right now.

EDIT: and most obviously Ricky Gervais has said there will be no more episodes of "The Office" (UK). He has however agreed to write an episode of the remake. (coming off the back of his Simpson's episode.)

BBC "The Office" >>> US version. The Extras was pretty funny for a while too, although it looks like that's done now as well. I'm sad for AD... that was easily one of my favorite shows.

I don't know I found arrested development got a little heavy handed/dumb down in the final season and the final episodes were no different.

I still love the show and thought the finale was great, but still I feel it was just dumb downed and got pretty silly to attract viewers.

Hopefully a decent network will pick it up and they can return it back to the smart comedy it is/was.
