I finally played and finished the demo. Not bad, but I still prefer Alien Swarm mod. I do like the special effects, the shadows, etc. and the weapon upgrade feature.

Well that brought back nice 4th grade memories...

I guess there will be no evolution for forum-dwellers after all.

Now cmon, run Forrest, run...

Did anyone get weird lighting effects in certain areas where everything looked kind of bright and blurry?

So is viral meningitis... But unfortunately you seem to be getting away.

Just FYI, if this game sells any more by me advertising it to this sorry bunch - I want a cut!

oh wow you're so SASSY and "with it"!....they teach you snappy comebacks like that during training or is that your own talent?

Can the full game (and demo) be played co-op over the Internet or LAN?
If it can't there's always the awesome Alien Swarm:

"Alien Swarm: Infested" for HL2 (in development)

Yea, the game is 2-4 player coop.

And yes, this is a great game to support. Finally, someone making a game with detail in it (where's the detail in id engine games?)

The power lines overhead shaking from the wind, the little bugs on the floor that 'squish' when you step on them, the flashlight/shadow system is way cool. Heat from the fire is well done (harhar).

It does have an old-school feel to it, like Take No Prisoners.

Nice to be interested in a new game for a change.

This game is cutting-edge... It's a nice break from dark FPS's, and it shows how to use light and darkness effectivelly in a game.

Doom3, take some lessons.

I loved the flashlight, and the action sequences are only about 7 times more exciting than in Doom 3. It's kinda like Crusader: No Regret/No Remorse... Only in 3d and with much better atmosphere.

The character animations are a little funky, but overall, the game is very atmospheric. The weapons feel very powerfull and the upgrade system is easy to use.

The fixed camera is kinda cool - in a retro sort of way. It sure focuses the action. Where in an FPS you would be flailing the mouse like a madman, here you have better overview and you can move coherently, especially when multiple monsters attack.

Kudos to the developer, I am preordering this one. PC gaming is not dead (although this would make a nice console port )

The German version released a few weeks ago was fun. A nice 'old-school' blaster in the vein of stuff like Expendable.
