This game has got to be one of the most pointless games ever. The story is horrible and running around eating brains gets old about 20 mins into the game. I am talking about the full version mind you. Don't waste the time!!! The oldies music with new bands was pretty clever however!

you're absolutely right about it getting old too fast... but that first 20 minutes was a lot of fun! i'm not sure what level the demo has, but you could probably have as much fun with it as you could the entire game.

as for buying the full version? hell no!

I think this game would be great fun if you were stoned. Unfortunately I don't do drugs anymore so it got boring after a few minutes.

Possibly the worst save game system Evar, if you can if call it a save game system, crapy.
I agree the only redeiming quality was the music

Scorpio Slasher: ... What about you boy, what do hate?
Marcus: ... Bullies. Tiny d*ck egotists who hurt people for no reason, make people lock their doors at night. People who make general existence worse, people like you.

Halo engine? Jan 10, 2006, 19:05
Jan 10, 2006, 19:05

Isn't this the game created by one of the Bungie guys who left to start his own company? And this game uses the Halo, doesn't it?

It certainly is boring, I'm glad to see everybody is feeling the same way I am about it. It was a little funny at first but the more the game drags on it never changes. It's just a big BLAH! The game got semi good reviews, that just goes to show you if you say the word "Bungie" in something the fanboys lineup to suck it down. Play the demo, laugh a few mins... just don't buy it whatever you do. The only thing that might have gave it a little longevity would've been coop but of course it was cut out for the PC version BIG SURPRISE!

Hmm, am I the only one who found the game entertaining? Sure, it's repetitious, but if you play it on the higher difficulty settings, the challenge forces you to be more strategic in your zombie shennanigans. I'll admit that the game started off slow, though, and if the demo is taken from the beginning of the game (which it most likely is), it probably won't be too engaging. The later levels in the game present some tricky scenarios that I liked.

Oh, I'm also not a Bungie fanboy. I think the Halo games are pretty crappy and easily among the most overrated games of all time. Wasn't a big fan of Marathon either.

What an overhyped turd this was. It was about as fun the first time around when it was called Messiah.

Err, Messiah and Stubbs are pretty different games. The only similarity is that you can possess people. Though, I did find Messiah more entertaining.

P.S. Overhyped? You must be joking. Overhyped = HL2, Daikatana, DNF, Oblivion, etc etc. Pretty much every big name game that gets delayed and hyped even more as a result. Stubbs the Zombie... not quite.

Braaiins !!!

I've only tried the demo but I liked it quite a bit. This game is much more creative than the last several games I've tried put together. Maybe the demo just shows off the funnest parts or something. I guess I can picture it getting repetitive.

I love zombies and I've been waiting for a game to let me play one.

I'd pick this up if it was cheap enough.

I didn't see any controls that allow you to possess anything or throw your head though. I thought those things were part of the game.

They are, but you gain those abilities as you progress through the game. If I recall correctly, you get them all within the first half of the game.

You can do it (all your abilities are available too you as the icons are on the right side of the screen).

You need to eat peoples brains to power them up and then press the appropriate key... while I know RMB throws your guts and F farts, I *think* either G or B bowls your head. Don't know about hand possesion...

Overhyped = HL2, Daikatana, DNF, Oblivion, etc etc.

And don't forget both Halo games which is funny since Wideload was founded by one of the founder's of Bungie.

Seemed alright for a while, but I haven't had a Blue Screen of Death for a long time which puts me off buying it quite a bit.

Nice idea for a game, though.

Hence, the part where I said "Pretty much every big name game that gets delayed and hyped even more as a result." The fact that Wideload has some of the dev members from Bungie doesn't mean much, however, since Stubbs and Halo are completely different games.
