does anyone really expect a video game movie to be good?

That's not so much the question, really. Uwe Boll is intentionally raping the whole game-to-movie concept to make money, especially when the man must know the movies suck as a director. I'm willing to bet most of these movies would have been decent if anyone else of reputation had helmed them.
