Out of the Blue

And the Giants season comes to an end. I had no realistic hopes of the team surviving past next week in Chicago, so it's not like I am heartbroken over the loss, but I sure do wish they had risen above humiliation, especially since the team's last appearances in the post-season also ended in embarrassments (Super Bowl XXXV, and the 49ers' ridiculous comeback in the 2002 Wild Card game). Oh well.

Yup. I saw a similar one at Sam's Club or Costco a couple years back, for about twice the price. Even had the remote.

Dude, that's a big rat.

Nah. That's a small rat. The mouse we caught in our attic was quite a bit bigger.

Biggest rat I've ever seen was on the campus of Georgia Tech -- saw it under a trash can. I don't think a cat would take the thing on -- it was bigger than most cats. And no, it wasn't an oppossum -- I've seen plenty of those too (mostly splat'd on the road; but I've seen a couple alive).

I hadn't even heard of this movie. Too bad it won't be half as entertaining as the reviews:

"Uwe Boll's best videogame adaptation yet. Wait... what does that even mean?"

"Less pleasurable than the throbbing bladder pain begat by too much movie theater soda, BloodRayne ably continues Uwe Boll's indisputable reign as the worst filmmaker on the planet."

"Uwe Boll is such a bad director that it must be intentional."

And my personal favorite:

"Madsen sounds like Mike Myer's "SNL" character "Lothar of the Hill people"."

No you are not.
In the mini series and the first season she had a much more athletic body. She obviously changed her workout routine between the end of filming the first season.
Oh, so she's more femininely round now. I was beginning to think it was the couple of glasses of wine that influenced my judgement.

Is Uwe Boll's career over? Shacknews thinks so!
Unfortunately no.

He is still attached to plenty of things coming up, and he is hardly to blame for that mistake.

Hard to beleive such a thing would happen by accident. As someone commented, those who got the order must have wondered and asked twice before going ahead with an $27 million extra to the order.

The tail! Is that a special Scandinavian Long-Tailed Rat?
I'd bet it your regular SoCal rat. I mean, the rats I've seen in Stockholm were double the size - not joking. But the one on the pic sure has a long tail

Not really actually. About 7" excluding tail, I'd say.

Kinda wish I could read Scandinavian now....
Oh, sorry about that. Maybe I was a tease now

I wouldn't say my wife bears any resemblance to Starbucks in BSG except maybe slightly in that pic. Probably some fisheye effect. But now that I think of it, am I the only one that thought Starbuck was hotter than earlier in the series last Friday? I never thought much of her before...

BTW, after finally showing up (fourth appointment!) the exterminators have now set up a couple of traps for the rats in our kitchen.
Just get a cat! And when the rats gone throw it in a fire!

That B&W picture of you wife on the left that you can click to make big; am I the only one that sees a fair bit of resemblance of the girl that plays Starbuck on the new BSG?

BTW, after finally showing up (fourth appointment!) the exterminators have now set up a couple of traps for the rats in our kitchen. We got one the first morning already. You can catch a glimpse of it in my wife's blog if you like, fourth pic down (dead!).
