New NVIDIA ForceWare and ATI Catalyst Drivers

In a strange convergence, new Windows XP ATI and NVIDIA reference drivers are now available after a near-simultaneous release. New NVIDIA ForceWare 81.98 Drivers are now available, as are new ATI Catalyst version 5.13 Drivers. Thanks Thomas and Ant.

Since firefox is mentioned, can someone tell me what the plugin is that can block those annoying intelli text crap thats on almost all tech sites now?

Adblock does it... you just add "http://*.intellitxt.com/*" to the block list.

I like it when links don't open in a new window.. because if I really wanted to open them in a new window, I could hold SHIFT. Amazing, isn't it?!

Installed 81.98 and PSP still hangs up on start. FS 2004 has been fixed though. It even says in the release notes that the issue has been resolved, but obviously it hasn't. I just looked on the NVidia forums and there are alreay several posts complaining that it still isn't fixed. I wish I would have looked over there before installing it. Oh well, back to 78.03.

Why oh why did I buy an NVidia this time, I never had this kind of problems with ATI drivers on my old system.

Edited because I can't speel.

Overon: It won't happen. Old control center is dead. It was expected to make ATI owners move on. I am happy with my NVIDIA!

Sad to hear that you are deprived of a middle mouse button. But there is hope for you yet. If you can't middle-click, then hold down Control and click. Or right-click and choose "Open Link in New Tab". Or plug a mouse into the laptop.

Hey ATI give us regular control panel not the bloated and slow catalyst control center.

Look over there on the left side of the screen and check the box that says "Launch Links" under "Customize" and your links will launch in a new window.

lol, noob!

What I think Blue should do is put more styles and themes that you can customize, because I'm kind of getting bored of the blue/black matte that he's stuck to all these years.

NVidia finally fixed the problem with Paint Shop Pro and FS 2004 texture bugs which have been broken since the first 80.xx drivers were released. It only took two, maybe three months now of people bitching on their forums to get them to fix it.

1. Get Firefox.
2. Middle-click on links like mad.
3. Watch as they open in new tabs, while Blue's News remains in focus.
4. Go to the various tabs to view what you want, when you want, with no delays.
5. Set up some ad blocking while you're at it.

This has worked since September of 2002, btw. (Phoenix)

5.12 was released just a few days ago, not clear why they did that if they are releasing another version so soon.

Correction: 5.12 came out on the 8th of Dec. Still pretty close...

I want a Nintendo Revolution controller TV remote.

one of my biggest pieves with this site is that you never open a new window on a link.

Hey, blue.. when are you going to lrn2link!

Aside from screwing the ati link up like most noobs do (though I think ati sucks too for clamping this hard down on their pages from being linked), one of my biggest pieves with this site is that you never open a new window on a link. Isn't taking people away from the site the LEAST desired action both you and the user could want?
