Demo version 1.18 Released! Feb 9, 2006, 20:35

Hello everyone.
Perhaps some of you already played the Demo and, some of you never heard of it However, I would appreciate your impressions and suggestions, as they will help us shape the game to its final form. Thanks!

Here are the changes in Galactic Dream version 1.18 for those of you who already played the game before:

Units are now rebuild-able. They become "Heroes" literally, each having his own Experience, Levels, Upgrades and up to three Abilities. You can revive one Hero in exchange from some money, accordingly to his current level of Experience.

All TechSpells were reissued and changed. Some are now faster to cast, other will take a while. All Abilities were made more powerful. First Ability is researched at Level 1, second Ability at Level 3 and, the third, of course, at Level 3. However, you will have to choose the order of research.

New and improved algorithms for vision, attack, move and collision for all units. New galaxy layout, improved graphics, such as map objects, clouds and stars. Spiced up a little bit the in-game menus look. AI bugs fixed - lots of them - becoming now more challenging. Now Newbies didn't stand a chance :))

Terran Starbase is not directly selectable. This was done in order to ensure that no player whatsoever will only attack the base and ignore nearby defenders. To select the structure press the
key once. To deselect it (and deactivate possibility of selection) press
again. Don't worry, the starbase will be auto-acquired as a target once enemy ships are in Hangar or unavailable.

Also, the AI learned to keep its units in Hangar. To keep your own units in hangar press the arrow button in the left corner of your screen once; notice that the arrow will turn red. When want to launch all available units press the button again (the green arrow button).

For the next version Release we are trying to come with a Full solution to network synchronization and to improve network performance, a long with lots of optimizations for network games. Some new graphics will also be available.

Well the tutorial is broken, so how do I know what im supposed to do? I can tell you this much , it plays like a cheap version of Space Empires which in itself is a budget game. pass

Those screenshots are about as colorful as you can get, good if I were eating shrooms but look completely over the top otherwise.
