Snoopy & The Red Baron Take Flight

Break out the root beer, as Namco Games announces development of Snoopy & The Red Baron, a multi-platform arcade shooter that puts you behind the stick of Snoopy's legendary Sopwith Camel/doghouse. There's a gameplay movie on 3D Gamers, FileFront, and Worthplaying, and here's a bit on the game, which is due next year:

This time you’re mine!”…Leading video games publisher and developer Namco Hometek Inc. today announced "Snoopy(TM) vs. the Red Baron," an exhilarating aerial-based action adventure game starring Peanuts(R) top dog Snoopy and a cast of classic characters. While taking a nap atop his doghouse, Snoopy has a magical dream and becomes a World War I flying ace who must pilot his bi-plane in a heroic attempt to foil the plans of his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron. Featuring 50+ single-player and co-op missions, action-packed dogfights and customizable planes across six unique environments, "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron" will be coming to the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, PSP(TM) (PlayStation(R)Portable) system, Xbox(R) video game system and the PC in Fall 2006.

blame the publishers for foolishly pumping out sequel after sequel or half-baked game ideas wrapped in a license simply because people keep buying them.

The people keep buying them and it's the publishers who are foolish?
