Our neighbors are dog-sitting for some friends of theirs by looking after a beautiful Akita named Max. Our own pooches were quite worked up by a dog in the neighboring yard, so we decided to let them all get together for a good old-fashioned ass-sniffing. That was the plan, at least, as what happened was a bit of a dust-up between Max and Hudson the wonder dog. Huddy has developed more of an Airedaley approach to life as she's matured, demonstrating a skepticism about the motives of strange dogs, and I think that was only cemented by the incident a few months back where she got bitten. Anyway, it was loud and ugly, but with both dogs on leashes, no one was hurt, so we just called off the socializing. I'm afraid at this point we're going to have to start assuming our little angel is going to dislike any given strange dog until proven otherwise on a case-by-case basis.
