Ah, a key for expansion beta that's not going to be usuable for a long time...I can see that being the case.

Uh, the expansion? It doesn't say the beta is coming out anytime soon; just that you can toss up your key now that you've gotten it from BlizzCon.

No, I mean before the rest of us have a shot at the content patch. Look, SC:G isn't coming to PC (that I'm aware of), the expansion is nowhere near beta stage, and there's no way in hell any of Blizzard's other major projects (SC2, D3) are either. So what else could it be?

Uh, they don't have beta keys for content patches; They just test them on the test server like they've done for the past year. ANyone who transfers a character can play.
I'm guessing the beta will be for a new WoW Content patch, not the expansion, and certainly not any unannounced major project. Could be some minor game or original property we have never seen before, but I doubt it.

If they do it GW-style it could be cool. OTOH I played through 1 and 2 pretty much exclusively solo - dabbled with online but it annoyed me. So long as there are no fees and I can still finish the game solo I'm happy enough. If they go the traditional MMORPG route I'll either have to pass or dump WOW.

Last week they had a thing called "Show N Tell" which they have every 6 months to all the full time employees - Anyways Diablo 3 takes place in heaven. Hell is trying to take it over and it is AWESOME looking ... I magine the brightness of heaven being taken over by the darkness of hell ... Imagine WoW but in a Diablo world in amount of size and playability ... Also, guild housing is available in this game for those of you who know about it. They should have a gameplay demo to show at BlizzCon.

1 Part Planetside, 6 tons of Starcraft, 1 ton of Blizzard lovin, stir, bake at 360 for 10 months and viola, World of Starcraft.
I just started mine back up a few weeks ago after a 10 or so month hiatus...so true, kind of a sad bittersweet feeling remembering the glorious times you had so long ago, like when you visit your old hometown or campus...

Well, the source I was quoting actually said Christmas '06, but I figure that with Blizzard, a more ballpark figure would be safer.
