Otherwise, it has released some potentiall cool games, but there has always been something wrong. Legacy of Kain, even if it pales in comparison to the first 2D game, could definitely use some love. Commandos really is not improving, Deus Ex was murdered by Invisible War, Fear Effect died, Hitman varies from game to game, Republic/Project Eden/Project Snowblind all missed the mark, Thief did not improve with the last game, you have to wonder where Eidos was in all the Ion Storm drama, and so forth.
You are aware that EIDOS is a publisher and not a developer, right? As for your game criticisms: I've found the Hitman games to be pretty consistently good. Granted, Hitman 2 had a lot of crappy level design, but Contracts remedied this and I'm looking forward to Blood Money. Project Eden was probably Core's best game and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Combat could have been better but the puzzles were great. The LoK series still has much potential, but Defiance was the series finale so I doubt they will continue it. As for DX and Thief, the latest entries in those series were catered towards the consoles, which was probably a decision made by Ion Storm in order to expand potential profits. However, even though IW and DS were dumbed down, I still found them pretty enjoyable. Sure, IW failed horribly as a sequel to DX, but judged on its own merits, it really wasn't as bad as people made it out to be.
