1UP) reports that Karl
Urban and Rosamund Pike have signed contracts for a sequel to the imminent DOOM
movie. The story makes it clear that contracts like this are often signed before
definitive plans for sequels are sealed, and that in this case there are no
plans for another DOOM movie at this point. The story also quotes Dwayne "The
Rock" Johnson saying it is possible he would participate in a sequel as well.

It's not uncommon to sign for the option of a sequel, but it's no guarantee that the actors will appear. They've just agreed to come back, if asked.
That said, this is the kind of movie which wouldn't precisely surprise me for not killing off main characters. Might take some dialogue or something ...
