I wonder if this will incorporate the same pioneering mechanics as Premier Manager (that's proper football, people). Namely having your star player being killed by lightning 2 days before the FA cup final.

Aaah, the memories.

Hmmm, he's under fire for position of Best Worst Mike by Tice and Sherman.

And actually, I think Shanahan is a joke too, but his team is 5-1, so there's not much you can say about him right now...

Do you get to sleep in your office, throw your headset, have heart-attacks and make rookies cry?

Sure you're not thinking of Steve Balmer?

If the Mikes can be head coaches in the NFL, so can a comatose Peruvian sand snail.

I read the Sports Guy too so I know what you're talking about. However, as a Seahawk fan, I still think Mike Holmgren is a good coach, just keep him away from being the GM.

Oh, and I figured Tice would be gone by Tuesday if they lost to the Bears until I heard the owner put all the blame on the players. It still wouldn't surprize me.

g{I guess of all my uncles, I liked Uncle Caveman the best. We called him Uncle Caveman because he lived in a cave, and because sometimes he'd eat one of us. Later on, we found out he was a bear.

I'd personally like to see them do weekly roster updates so I can play as Mike Tice through the various stages of unemployment, homelessness and ticket-scalping (coming full circle, as in any good story).

For a more serious comment, now that they have a pre-bought market dominance it looks like they're stripping all the "extra" features of Madden out into their own full titles. I hesitate in saying full-fledged, but full price-tagged is probably accurate.

No way, Semantics; in the fast paced world of a head coach things change too much, they can at least do quartlery games.

NFL Head Coach Q1 2007!
NFL Head Coach Q2 2007!
NFL Head Coach Q3 2007!
NFL Head Coach Q4 2007!

Does it feature such joys as "Your star running back decides to become Atticus Bongman one week before training camp starts," or the "17 of your players go on a sex cruise in the bye week, causing your owner to go apeshit", or the "your star linebacker is an alleged murderer and your star running back is a drug dealer fresh out of five months of jail on a plea bargain with the Feds," scenarios?

I mean, without those, the game really isn't complete.

It also needs to feature an option where referees fuck you over just because they haven't been on TV for awhile. In fact, I think this feature needs to make it into Madden 2007 as well.

Also, this will be the easiest game ever. If the Mikes can be head coaches in the NFL, so can a comatose Peruvian sand snail.
