NFL Head Coach Announced

EA Announces First 3D Sports Strategy Game -- NFL Head Coach (thanks Frans) has news of a new sports strategy game making use of EA's exclusive NFL license:
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 17, 2005--Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS - News) announced today that NFL Head Coach ((1) working title) will be available in stores in spring 2006, under the EA SPORTS(TM) brand. NFL Head Coach is in development in Orlando, Fla. by EA Tiburon, makers of other NFL properties including Madden NFL Football and NFL STREET. I'd personally like to see them do weekly roster updates so I can play as Mike Tice through the various stages of unemployment, homelessness and ticket-scalping (coming full circle, as in any good story).

For a more serious comment, now that they have a pre-bought market dominance it looks like they're stripping all the "extra" features of Madden out into their own full titles. I hesitate in saying full-fledged, but full price-tagged is probably accurate.
