Did Blue post this? I cannot remember:

http://lostgarden.com/2005/09/nintendo-genre-innovation-strategy.html

It's an interesting take on Nintendo philosophy, on how they have to innovate in order to survive. Kind of having to out evolve the lumbering T-Rex figures of Sony and Microsoft that hit, saturate, then gorge on genras. Nintendo gain revenue by finding virgin territories, and new ideas, grab as much as they can, then move on when the lumbering beasts arrive to graze there with their bottomless pockets.
