Shataan, i'd offer you a beer but it seems you've brought your own whine to go with your vagina. It's incredibly saddening to think that someone of your inept level of intelligence is actually 35 years old. And what's this about colors? Got a problem with colored people? Ha.

Oh you got me last. I am so a.F.E.A.R.E.D. of you. Nice rant. You really show your colors. And you made a nice show of it. LOL Keep em flying killer. You have no idea how I love to watch you in action. As do others I am sure. And as for being a kid? I haven`t been a kid for about 35 years. But I will take that as a compliment. ;0) ;0)

Heh.

Nah, BW2 seems ok, but it sounds like it went more RTS than godl creature route. That, in an abstract way, was my issue with the main game. I bought it to play god through my creature...and then it became this wonky RTS game or, for the one level, they even took my creature away! Less of a godly aspect, decreased creature interaction, less narrative? I want all that more than I want the RTS aspect. But "boring" was just to tempt you, Creston.

As for B5, I really thought it was good at the time, but I have watched it two other times and, for each time, it just seems worse and worse. All the "great" things I recalled about the series just were not so great. Not sure why, but I notice all the smaller, nagging issues a lot more. I just get irked with how much the characters ramble, how cheap the budget is, some of the more ham-like moments of acting, the sory does not seem as enthralling, etc.

Then again, I like muppts in space Farscape as the single best sci-fi show...
.
Thinking that new Doom trailer is a bit weak,
Ray

BW2 - boring RTS game.

Okay, see? That's just Ray's opinion. I have no problem with that.

B5 - Sci-fi show that is pretty bad thse days.

And now young Skywalker... You will die!

I just fail to see how so many can waste so much time giving their viewpoints on a very well made game. Is anyone here making a better game in their mother's basement while they wack to CS? please enjoy that image for a moment won't you?

Ok, so you aren't allowed to have an opinion about something unless you are currently doing something better?
So I can't go see a movie like Stealth, pay $10, then come out and say it was a terrible movie because I am not currently making a better film, nor have I ever?

What kind of half-assed logic is that? To answer my own question, the kind people that can't handle differing opinions bring. I see it mostly with bad bands. "If you think Korn sucks so much let's hear your band."

You don't need to be involved in the activity to be a critic. It might help you understand but in a mass medium it certainly isn't needed.

And you call it a "well made game." Fine. Again, opinion. Other people think it is poorly made. See how this is an objective standard? Some people here think Doom 3 was well made, others think it was poorly made. Some people here think HL2 was well made, others think it was poorly made. So long as they can express why they feel this way and what could be done in the future to correct the issues then it is perfectly valid.

I'd kind of hate to see your world, one where everyone must lower their personal standards and enjoy everything that is put in front of them unless they're currently working on a better product.

  • Yahoo! Messenger - IM program.

  • Yhahoo games - Bounce Out, Collapse, Text Twist, and Pop n Drop.

  • High score - For these four games, Messenger keeps track of (a) your score in these games and (b) the highest score achieved by everybody on your friends list.

  • nUrds - My friend and I realizing this, determining that we will challenge each other for the highest score.

  • p\/\/n@g3 - My kicking her ass, holding the highest score between us in all these games.

  • Very sad - Two nUrds competing with each other over Yahoo! games :o

  • BW2 - boring RTS game. B5 - Sci-fi show that is pretty bad thse days.
Noting they are all far worse games than YoHoHo! Puzzle Pirates,

On the nUrd scale, should I admit that a friend realized that Yahoo Messenger keeps track of puzzle scores of the people on your list and that we spent the whole day out-high scoring one another? Say what you will of Y!PP, it is much better than Bounce Out, Collapse, Text Twist, and Pop n Drop.

First place in all four ,
    Ray

hey cool, I will play along.

Webster's...<trolling> Saying then that the game is excellent and amazing and that they should go whack off in their mother's basement . also see to trollify

Well, im just messing around there. I understand your point, but my first impression of this thread seemed to be snotty people explaining how features were not good enough for their high standards in this entertainment medium.

Maybe it is not the pinnacle of multiplayer and well this is boring the HotPants. I just fail to see how so many can waste so much time giving their viewpoints on a very well made game. Is anyone here making a better game in their mother's basement while they wack to CS? please enjoy that image for a moment won't you?

But for my truly final statement on bluesnews in 2005, I do believe there is a severe lack of games good enough for most of the lamers on here, they are trying to find jesus himself and perhaps get some all while playing a videogame.
With that, I will be collecting donations at the door.
thank you all, you are a wonderful audience.

Some people have a different OPINION than you do. Most of the people who have said they don't like Fear Multiplayer have given very detailed and plausible reasons for why they don't like it.

Saying then that the game is excellent and amazing and that they should go whack off in their mother's basement is the very DEFINITION of trolling.

You like it, great. More power to you. Others don't. As long as they give reasons for why they don't, I fail to see why their opinion is less valid than yours.

ahhh, I am by no means a troll on here, point of fact I have been on bluesnews for over 5 years and have posted a grand total of 15 comments.
I just come on these threads every few months or so when a FU...N game is being discussed and it always amazes me how much time is being wasted on these forums.
Almost without exception it is a bitchfest for people living in basements or who do not have the time to wack around with another Playboy.

you all need to stop wasting your time posting such trivial crap., go help a child in need, go volunteer in your community, find an elderly person who can not cook for themselves.
MY GOD... just stop the incessant whining about FU'n games.

theres my rant, I will post again in 2006, and I can not WAIT!

Games I predict FEAR will be worse than:
    Far Cry
    Deus Ex
    HL
    HL2

Games I predict FEAR will be better than:
    Doom 3
    DX:IW
    Quake 4

I think FEAR will be very good. I hope it's excellent.

And, given the comments here, I will grab this demo. It sounds as if the complaints of the beta have been fixed.

Honestly from what I have read so far, Lionhead got this one right.

Yeah, although the lack of actual interaction with your followers does seem strange, seeing as how you're their God and all.

I'm mostly just getting it because

    1) The creature. Good fun, even in the first one.
    2) I get to build cities in a freeform way
    3) It looks great, very nice graphics engine.
    4) It will offer a ton of gameplay hours for my money, and seeing how I'm pretty much broke, that's important.

I'll probably pick Fear up sometime next year or so, during one of those extended periods in which NO FUCKING PUBLISHER RELEASES ANYTHING.

    OsinO, please stop quoting trolls.

"how in the world do some of you snotnosed brats come on here and complain about this game? Go sit in your mothers basement and stare at the wall or break out a Playboy, do something other than come on here and put down a perfectly good game,
and in my book to be perfectly honest , this is a SUPERB game.
I guess my point is to lighten up, if you can not enjoy the FEAR game go back to that list of I suppose 4 games you have ever liked and wack around as you play them over and over.
    woohoo!"

Amen. I find that the better games get the most critics due to their popularity.
