Ugh, I think I need a new video card. My ATI Radeon 9800 Pro AIW (128 MB) is showing its age. Maybe a major upgrade too, but I am not doing that until next year. The game was choppy even at 800x600 resolution! 
The demo was indeed short. It almost took about 20 minutes to complete.
I did not get to play the game with bass due to the late hours, but I will check the demo out again when I can put bass on. Again, the game is linear.
I hope the game improves since it is only a pre-release demo.
