X-Men: Ravages of the Apocalypse for Quake Free Release

Gamecloud's X-Men: The Ravages Of Apocalypse Q&A talks with Zero Gravity's Jonn Gorden about X-Men: Ravages of the Apocalypse, the commercial modification for Quake (1) released several years ago. The Q&A accompanies the free release of the project, which is now available for download from the X-Men: The Ravages of Apocalypse Website.

I recently re-installed this when I went on a "classic gaming" kick a year ago. It wasn't too good. I beat it, but actually had to cheat a few times because some of the enemy clone X-men's pwoers were just so hard to counter. Like that one guy who would charge at you like a bullet...and how iceman would regen even when melted to a puddle...it was jsut so nerve wracking.

Yeah, those last two levels WERE a trip

I liked the concept that your weapon was actually your arm and your character was just imagining these guns. Very cool idea.

Check out the last 2 levels! I wish I could remember their names so you could skip to them.

I still have this thing on CD-ROM. Back then I was kinda a Quake Slut of sorts and bought literally everything Quake related. After this and Deathmatch Maker I kinda changed my policy.

I'll go try this thing again but I seem to recall it not being so good.
