Marginally better than some games? How about, say Deus Ex: IWI don't know whether that would be one of the "some" as I have not played it.
Then you start backtracking on NOLF, again claiming you meant NOLF 2 (which you did not say),Read posts #73 amd #77 where I elaborate. I initially mentioned NOLF and onward as having good facial animations and lipsynching on par with Half-Life 2's. And it does as well as the voice acting even if the models themselves aren't as realistic due to the textures and polycount.

Jesus Riley, that's the point people are making, that HL2 was the most realisticNo, the point people keep trying to make is that the facial animation and lipsynching of Half-Life 2 are better than anything previously. They are not. They are better than most older games, marginally better than some comtemporary games, and no better than some other contemporary games which I cited.
