"... 15 - 20% of our accounts have at least once 60th level character, so the content needs to cater to those customers. ". What a joke. How about this: "80 - 85% of our accounts don't have 60th level characters, so the content needs to cater to those customers."

This bullsh!t is why I moved to guild wars. I can actually enjoy the experience playing a few hours a day and feel like I'm making progress.

Sounds like a "maybe" to me.

I like the part about describing the character. Makes it sound like a missing person report. "Yeah, he was about 7' 2", with blue skin and big muscles."

A new level 60 raid instance counts as tons of new content in my book! I would estimate that they lose 3-5% of level 60s per month, and that they gain about 3 times that in new level 60s. There are always many many new low level people looking for their first guild.

Of course, I probably count as a Bliz fanboy at this point...

I really don't believe their retention is that high. I bet they bleed a lot of customers. They make it sound like they have tons of new content with each patch, which is complete and utter bullshit. Everything they're claiming sounds like BS.

After some nagging/begging/encouragement from people, I was considering going back to WoW for a month.

Before I did, I wanted to know if they had the ability to restore a character that I had deleted prior to my leaving (I left in quite a bit of disgust and a few people had commented that Blizzard can restore deleted toons.)

I explained the situation and just asked, yes or no, if Blizzard had that ability, if I came back.

It took Blizzard six days to answer this yes/no question. Please note that the account departments had a disclaimer on it that most replies should be sent out within twenty-four hours.

And the reply?

Our Game Master (GM) staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist with this sort of situation.

To contact a GM, first log into the game with another of your characters, then follow these steps:

1. Press the "Help request" button or "?" icon in your game tools
2. Click the option for issues that GMs can assist with.
3. Choose the issue type (Character).
4. Describe which character was deleted and which realm the character is on.
5. Press the "Submit" button.

So, explaining that I do not have an active account and that my entire question is going to be based around whether or not I come back to the game, Blizzard support just tells me to log into the game (the one I cannot play, the one I cannot log into, the one I cannot access) and ask there.

Typical, typical Blizzard support. None of this is new to me or any of the people that have been trying to get me to come back.
If work = Blizzard, then you = idiot!
