Myself personnaly i think musicians should be paid for concerts and live performances ONLY! Making millions off of cd sales is rediculous.it cost's 12cents to make a cd and ship it to a store yet i pay near 20$ per album. So the artist takes a year to make and produce and album yet they rake in millions for 1 years work.All i can say is FUCK OFF. work for your money like everyone else.
1, the vast majority of artists DON'T make millions. For every Stones and Springsteen, there's hundreds or even thousands who are broke.
2, typically, it's the label that owns the recording, not the artist. So the label is the one you should be telling to "fuck off".
So if you create a work of art, should you only be paid a one time fee? Or should you be paid for each person who wants to view it?
