Console-ness. After being burned one too many times, a console port or multi-plat game now has to be really, really good to even get me to think about trying it. The only one that comes to mind is KoTOR; the rest have invariably been utter crap.

It's an ARCADE flight game, so stick would be pointless anyway.

Well it's got "arcade" control option and a "pro" control option.

Also thing that pisses me of is that it refuses to remember my control and configuration selections in between sessions. Everytime I start it up I have to configure the controls again. Maybe it's some read only file that I have to make non read only. I don't know.

Uhhh... say what? I just played it and there's support for keyboard, mouse, and joystick flight control. The selection is under the Options menu and the default is keyboard. There is also an arcade or professional mode selection.

The graphics are nice, flight model seems solid, the main menu is one of the better ones I've seen, and it's pretty fun.

yes there is support for a joystick, however it has to be set every time you start the game and there seems to be no way to go back once you start the mission to enable it and going in and out of the game is extremely painfull through all the splash screens on ener and exit, I got too frustrated trying to set the game up to bother going back in again, seems like they could have worked out the annoyances before releasing such a demo make me not want to buy it

That's one long sentence!

I sure hope they fix that problem before the game is released.. Its good that there is a joystick option though. I wouldn't even consider it if I had to use keyboard.

I see the joystick option, but it doesn't support analog on my Wingman Extreme. I try to set Throttle Up and the Joystick Axis and nala... nothing. Doesn't allow me to set it.

I played the 1st mission Pearl Harbor. I set everything to max. The first thing I noticed was the authentic posters. PC it isnt but ads to the feel of the game. I think it is a nice touch even if it could be considered racist in nature.
The planes models are pretty good. The field is your mixture of flat and elevated building. Overall gives a very good feeling to the battle field and frankly in the heat of things you wont notice it much if at all. The ocean with the shore line waves are also well done. Inconciquential I know but still nice to see some motion. Now we come to the battleships. With all hell breaking loose it set the tone very well both graphicly and auraly. Speaking of sound it all has a very full pallet of sound effects for a battle and with special note to the battleships thundering blasts. The wingmen can be annoying but eh! what can you do?
I played on arcade settings and found it enjoyable. The controls seemed (atleast by the demo) to be keyboard only and I did not see anywhere to remap the keys. Not sure if i was to busy to jump in and overlooked it or not.

Is this game a must have, no based on the demo HOWEVER just because it is not an absolute must have does not mean it is not a fun game. In fact it is quite fun and that is one of the best compliments you can give a game.

I posted this at Avault and I see taht others have found the control options. I seem to be coming down with the flu so I am not focusing too well but the last part still stands. it's fun.

I played it a bit, and it's fairly fun. I did have a couple of questions though:

- is it possible to change video settings after starting the game for the first time? I had to choose 1280x1024x32 because that looked like the only resolution that was available at 60hz (I have an old monitor ). It runs well at the resolution, though.

- does the game support gamepads? Controlling this with the keyboard is a bit clunky. I have a SideWinder gamepad, but it doesn't seem to work.

It's an enjoyable enough demo; I got a kick out of the propaganda posters (I'm sure at least one of them will offend someone ).
