Battlefield 2: Special Forces Q&A on GameSpot talks with Mike Doran
about the upcoming shooter expansion: "This is a common misconception that
we'd love to address. The truth is that work on Battlefield 2: Special
Forces began several months ago. The expansion pack is being developed by
DICE Canada, while DICE Sweden is running the postlaunch support team. To be
clear, we are actively working on the next patch, and development of Special
Forces has in no way affected our continued efforts towards supporting the
base product."
Auto Assault Mad
Max on a car phone on Eurogamer plays 'can you hear me now' with Scott
Brown of NetDevil to learn more about their upcoming post-apocaylptic
driving gzme: "Certainly with faster paced gameplay comes less down time,
and that is the time in other MMOs where players tend to talk more.
Functions of gameplay like long travelling distances are instant in Auto
Assault. It is an interesting problem to solve but we have already done some
work to improve this and with the beta going now are learning more ways to
help facilitate this in the future."
