My only real issue with the recent games are that they pick a gimmick and run with it. By the five-thousandth time I have played some song, game, or puzzle, I am quite braindead from boredom.

As for the last game, that ocan had way too large a physical size to actual content ratio. Trying to get a number of the items at the end, it felt like it was the game playing me rather than vice versa.

Nice games overall and fun in bursts or parts, but I would really, really like to just play a good "Zelda" game rather than a "Zelda: the latest gimmick!" game.

Having said that, I gave away my PS2 and Xbox, but kept my GC soley for the new Zelda game.
I swear, she's even worse than Mario's princess is...
Shrugging,
Ray

Edit: Code fix.

It's true WW was a little boring toward the end. But finishing it really worth it, the very end is one of the best ever. (that last boss fight alone is worth it)

I made it close to the end of Eternal Darkness. I have to shotgun some squid thing, if I remember. It might be the last boss. Too involved, the combat in that game was wonky but worked fun for the most part, as you didn't need much.

When it threw the final, difficult boss, the control killed it for me.

Never finished Wind Wake either, I always look at it and think about finally getting it done. Then I remember how long I have to sail that dumb boat across the map world. I did finish Eternal Darkness though, I thought that game had a lot of unique ideas in it.

My copy of the Wind Waker is still in the shrinkwrap.

I made it to the very end of Eternal Darkness (didn't beat it), but by and large I'm lucky if I put even 10 hours into a single player console game. I just don't like them.

Multiplayer, though, I still think the Nintendo is king. Sure, Monkey Ball is on all systems now, but for a long while it was GC only. Combine it with Smash Brothers and Mario Kart and you've got the best single console multiplayer of this generation. Multi-console multiplayer doesn't interest me much, as it's really no different than single player if it's just you on the couch, and Halo 2 sucked single console.

Those are taken from the E3 video, right? Certainly looks like it. Why would this site post that they are new (or lead the reader to believe they are new)? Driving traffic to other sites?

I had fun with wind waker till the end. My only complaint was that it was too short. I'm looking for ocarina of time length. I'm looking forward to the new one. Looks badass.

I picked up a used copy of Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life for my sister's birthday next month. I had to try it out myself... errr you know to make sure the used copy works while the guarantee is still on... yeah. Anyways that is one odd game. Seems a bit complex for kids to me but I guess we'll see.

Anyone remember the controller from Namco for PSX? That was really cool. Was kind of liek a regular PSX controller, but twisted in teh center for analog steering.

Are old, and been relatively proven to have been from pre-rendered footage. It's not uncommon for developers to prototype a game in a CG to present to a publisher, and that's clearly what happened here.

Uh, yeah riiiigght. Those are REAL screenshots. Not!

I'm going to laugh my ass off when people realize that that pre-rendered Killzone video at E3 has little resemblance to the final game.

It was boring, that's why I didn't finish it. I don't think I'll be picking up the next Zelda either. In fact, I believe I am really done with Nintendo. I've been burned too many times by them.

Of course, my daughter just bought the 2 new Harvest Moon games yesterday.

I don't play video games... I play murder simulators.
