with the original CS the CS:Realism Update, i felt added alot to game with high rez weapons and player models as well as updated gun sounds. the L33t terrorist rocked a look of Beachhead from gijoe. player models/skins help in giving more distinction to who is who especially on FF servers.

I can't believe anybody really cares about new additional models. It's not like they really affect the gameplay. New maps, okay, although frankly it seems that for years most of the community was happy playing exclusively de_dust. But models? Meh.

And honestly, they should finish DoD before they move forward on ANYTHING. It is getting ridiculous. There just doesn't seem to be the following (community) that there once was with the original.

The new models are coming in about a month or two (Valve mentioned this when they changed the terrorist model recently) and the old maps are coming along quickly. Nuke is being worked on, then they just need militia, siege and vertigo to round it off (747 and backalley would also be nice, but likely wouldn't be played much). Sure, it's been very slow but they are finally getting there.

Valve have already said they'll be working on many new original maps once the classics have been ported, so it's good times ahead. However, I really, REALLY want militia, siege and vertigo, and it hasn't even been confirmed it they will be remade.

It may be old (although that's debatable with the graphic revamp), but it's certainly not busted. The gameplay is still fun after all these years. Can't say the same for BF2, personally.

err.. what? Valve usually releases updates on Wednesday, and I don't see anything about BF2 in yesterday's or today's news.

Not that I care about CS or BF2 since I've never played either game *shrug*

I think they just release bullshit news to keep attention off of BF2. Everytime something comes up about BF2 they have to release something new about CS.

The game is old and busted.
