The Quantic Dream Website
(thanks Frans) has news of plans for demo versions of Fahrenheit, their upcoming
game alternatively known by the title Indigo Prophecy. There is word on plans
for PS2 and Xbox demos on the cover disks of the official magazines for both
systems in most countries, saying: "Watch out for it in September, October or
November issues (official country dates to be announced shortly)." There is also
word on plans for PC demos:
PC demos will also be unleashed in different
languages in selected magazines this September, later via Internet.
High hopes for this one. Omikron was amazing for its time. I'll be reading review conclusions with great interest. I think I'll keep the hell away from most of the review content, though -- I don't trust incompetent reviewers to not spoil things.
...simply because it will be from QD (though, you can already figure on a certain amount of bugs and roughnes because of that,) but I wonder when/if this game will actually be out?
Its release date has already jumped around quite a bit and, if you search online, many retailers that previously listed this game for pre-order do not currently display it as an available option. Death of the company? Interested all the same, Ray
This game will be the 'Beyond Good & Evil' of 2005 (from what I played now), hopefully these demo's will work convincing enough because the story and the consequences of choices on the story, are the major selling points of this game.
