Just a few things I have noticed in 26 hours of gameplay since Friday evening.
Agree with a lot of that, especially the bunny hopping and the need for better anti-air. I thought air was overpowered in BF1942, but that was nothing compared to BF2 -- at least in '42 I could take them down reasonably well with AA or a tank turret-gun. In BF2 the AA missiles pretty much suck and the turret guns don't incline high enough to be effective. The mobile AA is ok (stupidly far better than the stationary AA!), but too rare.
Basically a good pilot in BF2 is unkillable, which is simply wrong. Yes, they're very rare, but it's stupidly unbalancing.
From Overon's post:
Occassionaly, friendly players have their names appear in red, then it's easy to TK accidently.
Egads, yes. I killed about 5 people once because of this. I had just taken a highly contended flag and wound up killing several teammates when they spawned with the wrong color names. It's only happened once so far (I think).
Vechicles need to stop tking at the slightest touch.
Which goes along with your die-ing upon exiting bit. I've managed to run over MYSELF at least twice now. It's rather embarassing, and downright bad when you're the squad leader who's exiting at an enemy flag.
And I've had problems w/ revive as well. It's got to be a bug -- sometimes I simply have to revive twice. Once I tried about 4 times on one guy and it never worked.
