Or the WoW expansion. Depends on which one is due first.

I hope some breasts get involved.

Judging from other MMOG convention pics I've seen, I'm sure they'll be plenty of bitch teets to gawk at.

Halsy: Because Blizzard is in Orange County, CA. Close to them. Plus, near big cities like Los Angeles and San Diego.

How about Blizzard announced the revocation of the Diablo II 1.10 patch, the addition of five new character classes, the addition of over one thousand new well balanced unique and set items, and the addition of three new acts.?

Or even just the revocation of 1.10...

I just don't understand why game companies that do this don't do it somewhere more central like Nebraska or something so it's easier - and more fair - for people from all over North America to get there.

Not that I'd ever go to one of these things (with the exception if it was where I lived) but I'd be much more inclined to go if it were central than going from the NE to the SW side of the continent.

Yeah. I'm as nerdy as the next guy that visits this site, but sometimes it goes too far. A convention to celebrate a single company? It's just mental masturbation, and it really isn't necessary (this goes for Blizzard and id), in my not so humble opinion.

Eh; I'd agree with that if WoW didn't have two million customers; not to mention the Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo franchises all being million sellers as well. SOMEBODY is playing those games.

Anywho, it looks Blizzard found a replacement for their ECTS announcements. Shame I'm going to be hanging out with the assholes at PAX this year, can't really justify two trips for extremly geeky endeavors.

Hmmm... playable demo a far stretch... I think there will be a demo of Ghost released maybe... Maybe an announcement of a new game in development (diablo 3 is a possibility...)... But I think the main thing that will be announced is an expansion pack to WoW.

I only play manly games like WW2 shooters and that's only during my breaks between my body building schedule and racing my mustang. I can't believe these nerds would try to have fun doing something, I can't imagine what it would be like to be so pathetic!

Welp, the playboy bunnies in my bedroom are begging for it again so I better get off this internet gaming news site which is probably almost a little too nerdy for me and get back to business.

And on a serious note I don't know what I was imagining reading when I replied to the first post but at least reaper has a sense of humor.

If this were within driving distance (2-3 hours), I'd almost consider it, but from reading that press release above, I just can't see what the hell I'd do there... Now, I don't need to knock anyone (or group) to make myself feel better, and getting together will people with similar interests to yack for hours is all fun n shit, but I'm just not seeing the pull for this kind of event.

By no means am I a quake fan(atic), but isn't Quake Con a bigass lan party? That's appealing... And sure, they'll prolly have some PCs for people to play competitive RTS's, but... well... Bleh...

There is something wrong with this and I can't place my finger on it. I just have the extreme urge to be as far away from this as possible.

Again I point to the Asian market for all things Blizzard, which by all accounts totally destroyes Trekkies, Star Wars Freaks etc.

This is how WoW was able to hit 2 million active accounts.

Nerds or not I wouldn't mind having stock in Blizzard.
