shooter sequel is beginning to deploy:

Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS - News) and Digital Illusions today announced that Battlefield 2(TM) has begun to ship to retail outlets for the PC. Powered by an all new game engine, Battlefield 2 brings the intensity and excitement of its predecessors, the award-winning Battlefield 1942(TM) and Battlefield Vietnam(TM), into the modern era with the latest, most technologically advanced vehicles and weapons systems available to man.
In Battlefield 2, players will choose to fight for one of three military superpowers: the United States, China, or the newly formed Middle East Coalition. Armed with the latest modern weaponry, players can take control of any of the game's 30+ vehicles. Rumor has it Fry's Electronics will have it for $39.99 tomorrow.
Maybe, but Outpost.com (which is kinda, sorta their online store) lists it at $50.
Note that CompUSA has a $15 gift certificate by mail. So if you go elsewhere and have them price match, you may be able to get the gift certificate in store.
Anyone have any opinions on joysticks for the planes/choppers? I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro or Thrustmaster Top Gun Fox 2 Pro, but anything else in that price range w/ a hat is under consideration.
