Powered by an all new game engine, Battlefield 2 brings the intensity and excitement of its predecessors, the award-winning Battlefield 1942(TM) and Battlefield Vietnam(TM), into the modern era with the latest, most technologically advanced vehicles and weapons systems available to man.
In Battlefield 2, players will choose to fight for one of three military superpowers: the United States, China, or the newly formed Middle East Coalition. I'm excited for the full game, as I have been playing the demo since it came out. However, I'm worried that the full game will be just as unstable on my system. It's very rare to go any amount of time (20 or 30 minutes?) without crashing to a blue screen and having my speakers make that horrible noise.
I'm running an Athlon64 3200, nForce 3 setup with a 9800 pro. I have the Catalyst 5.6 drivers. I know there have been recommendations to switch back to the 5.1's if 5.6 doesn't work, but it's not like I'm getting any graphical problems or glitches, just severe system instability. Has anyone else encountered this kind of problem? Has anyone else found the solution?
