Out of the Blue

We keep talking about having our first cookout of the year, but we've been getting thunderstorms around here on such a regular basis it's starting to seem like Florida. Barbecue plans aside, this is particularly rough on both our doggies... Hudson the wonder dog gets freaked out by thunder, and Gunnar has a bandage on his paw that needs to be kept dry. Checking the forecast shows our daily inundation will continue for each of the five days covered, so this is something we're going to have to continue to endure for the foreseeable (or at least forecastable) future.

A-fuking-men. Why didn't she take the kid with her? Why didn't she put the dogs in the basement or in one of the rooms....

I know we just had a huge thread about problems with kids, but at the same time when are parents gonna be looked at?

A family that lives down the street from my sister in Northern Kentucky, have about 4 kids, 2 of them are absoutley the kinda kids everyone wants to have, smart, bright, well spoken, etc, and ya look at the parents and think 'How the hell did these kids come from these folks?'

Parents by legal definition are responsable for their children until they are adults (which I beleive is 18 in most if not all the states). And there are parents who really do need to be taken out and shot. This is a perfect example of one of those parents. The parent KNEW the child was in danger and choosed to lock HIM UP, instad of the dogs! Especially given the temprement of pit bulls, this was a sure fire accident waiting to happen. Not only that but what would happen if the dog attacked the boy while she was there? When I play with my black lab and wrestle with him and hold him down while I throw his tennis ball I can't hold him. What makes you think a mom is going to when the dog is attacking something to 'protect his bitch'?

Just another case of a parent not being responsible, when the mother should be charged with what Zathrus said.

Next thing ya know the mom is going to sue the people she got the dogs from, the vet and the people who make the dog food they eat.
