As promised, the Battlefield 2 demo is now available for download, offering the
chance to sample the military shooter sequel from Digital Illusions (DICE). The
demo offers the Gulf of Oman map, 16-player single player, and 16 and 32-player

I'm a GameSpot Complete member who usually gets about 300K/sec from their servers. I'm only getting about 50K right now. I don't think GSpot knew what they were getting into when they agreed to host this demo.

I'm a GameSpot Complete member who usually gets about 300K/sec from their servers. I'm only getting about 50K right now. I don't think GSpot knew what they were getting into when they agreed to host this demo.

I am at 181 KB/sec without any download managers. GetRight wouldn't let me download! Are you guys using one? I have a bad feeling that I will be cut off and be unable to resume. 
I have 45+ minutes to go at 170 KB/sec. It was at 300 KB/sec earlier. It will go slower. Argh!

Getting 550 k/s and I'm not a GameSpot Complete member.
I'm using GetRight with 4 segment downloading, but yeah, it isn't working as the server seem to be restricted to one slot per user. Understable of course.

I know no one's played it yet, but can anyone confirm or deny that I will or won't be able to run this thing with my old Geforce 4 ti4400? I've seen listings of the supported cards and know that you need pixel shaders 1.4 to run this, but is it gonna prevent me from running it altogether or just make it not look as good?
I ask this because I'm prepared to run somewhere retail and snag a new card at this point if that's what it takes to play. Just need to know.

Well, it's not just for the demo... obviously I'd need it for the full game too. 'sjust that gaming has been extra slow for me for most of this year and now that something I'm actually interested in is coming out... the idea that I can't play it cus it won't run on my card is completely unacceptable.

Ok, the games play great on my 6800GT at 1280x1024 but as I feared this is just like the DC mod only with better graphix.
The soldiers move almost exactly the same and it seems to use the same shitty netcode as well. I find this as a disappointment since I play CS all the time, my ideal online FPS.
Not mention there are weird bugs with the vehicles. My soldier flying with no helicopter, wtf?
