As promised, the Battlefield 2 demo is now available for download, offering the
chance to sample the military shooter sequel from Digital Illusions (DICE). The
demo offers the Gulf of Oman map, 16-player single player, and 16 and 32-player
multiplayer support. The 547 MB download has debuted on

I can't play the demo at all. Ever since the time limit was put back on them, you can't barely get started before the round is over. I'm noticing on many servers that people don't even bother using Command because there isn't time to seriously implement it. It's a completely different game if you have the full length time to play the map.
There are plenty of servers without this time limit, when you're browsing the list just look for one with really high scores, or higher than 30 at least. Normally there is a ceiling ppl hit in 12 min and I think it's about 20-30 for the best players. So I look for servers that have 30-40 kills for the top guys. Has worked really well so far.
This "feature" must have been put in by some marketing moron who doesn't know a thing about this game because it is completely uneccessary. I'm happy the demo is here and I've already preordered it. If someone actually thought we'd all just want to sit around and play the demo they need their head examined. With mods in development, new content coming up, patches for the server browser, etc, who would want to stick with the demo if they liked the game? So far BF1942 has been the best money I ever spent. I played that game longer than any other I've owned.
