military shooter sequel. The clip shows off over two-minutes of a Chinese

Jedi makes a good point. The only connection I can get where I live is dial-up off old phone lines, so it's disappointing to hear they've apparently cut bots. I don't have time to go to LANs anymore so that's out too. And I doubt a 64-player match is going to run so well on 28.8.
Well, I was deeply unimpressed by the video - the leaked gameplay footage and earlier trailer looked so much better than this. Still, I'll probably end up getting it - it looks to be one of the biggest games of the year.
This makes me wonder... where the hell is Team Fortress 2? Actually, screw that - Valve would probably release it with just one map and take months to finally get another company to release the maps.

Actual gameplay? Heavily edited and pimped gameplay perhaps. No doubt the game will be massively successful and will help EA fund the next hostile takeover or exclusive sports license they decide to buy. Sigh.
It's a pretty slick game when you get down to the core, but this doesn't represent an actual play experience. This is a hollywood production rendered through the ingame engine, and not much more. There are better videos out there.

Seems like a lot of "inside information" heavy with spin.

On topic though, I thought the screenshots looked a hell of a lot better. I was genuinely excited about it. This just looks rather ugly, with standard character animations.
The vehicles are a pretty cool addition though, are they using a physics engine to match?

Just watched the video (who says 3D Gamers has dropped? I was getting speeds upwards of 490 on it!), and it is pretty absurd.
We'll see how it plays, I'm still one of the few that didn't get into 1942. Didn't give it much chance, though.
I always wonder how games like this will turn out, though. I mean, cover fire is nonexistent in multiplayer games. People just stand there until dead. Always hurts gameplay, I think, but it's something impossible to implement.

OK.. ok.. maybe we're all a little too hyped up on this game. It's just been a while since there has been a good 64 player FPS type game. I think those of us who have been playing MMORPGs are ready to change over into the FPS gaming cycle for a while. Besides, it IS the next "big game".

Well... the game was originally set for a March release but was held back.
Sides I'm much rather be in the mindset of 'This game is going to be great' instead of 'This game is going to be a bug ridden mess'.

Dice ALWYAS puts out such buggy games though - ,assively buggy. And don't forget the hacking.
