Based loosely on the adventures of John Grimm in the current best-selling "Doom 3," the film is aiming to replicate the feel of the game as closely as possible, to be the most faithful video game adaptation ever.

Pitiful, truly pitiful.

how odd (well not really), this is the same kind of Control that certain US legislators and various Morality Police groups would love to see happen here.

heh, Vin Diesel/Riddick, Pitch Black, with his surgically enhanced eyes to see in zones of black on black textures would have a superior choice.

If I go to reach for some popcorn at the snack counter, is an imp going to spawn behind me and smack me in the back of the head?

Ground Zero looks like it wants to be Fallout 3, or at least, it's trying to be very similar. Too bad i don't understand German. Wonder if it's any good.

I love how these people who wrote the Atari article act as if it is the same Atari from the old days and not just Infogrames whoring out the name to try to appeal to older gamers.

I hope Doom the Movie is every bit as great as Super Mario Bros the Movie.

In the film, a mysterious SOS is sent out from the planet Olduvai and the RRTS (Rapid Response Tactical Squad), led by the epynonymous Sarge (The Rock) and his second in command John Grimm (Karl Urban), are sent in to find out what exactly has happened and find instead that, literally, all hell has broken loose.

Based loosely on the adventures of John Grimm in the current best-selling "Doom 3," the film is aiming to replicate the feel of the game as closely as possible, to be the most faithful video game adaptation ever.
