Wow I love it when designers attempt this kind of stuff.

hope they support it with some patches.

Supposedly theres a patch coming within a week.

Personally i think the game will get popular from word of mouth (God knows Atari isnt doing a frigging thing to promote it). If that happens it'll be supported as the devs seem like a dedicated bunch.

Thief 2 - T2X: Shadows of the Metal Age
EXCELLENT! ... FREE!

If the graphics were updated this could have been called Thief 4.

Waay better than the console-ized Thief 3 imo, T2X recaptures the depth and immersion of Thief 2. It's commercial quality, very professionally done, and though technically an "expansion" it's actually a Whole New Full Length Game with 13 chapters and a new female lead. In fact the only downside is finding your copy of Thief 2, which is required for play.

Whoever the team is that made T2X should be doing commercial development.

I played it for a good 45 minutes to an hour at E3, and it was pretty overwhelming. The graphics weren't terribly amazing, but honestly, it doesn't hurt the game. It played pretty well. There were some funny instances of NPC's running through solid objects like walls and dumpsters, but the concept is solid and, well, the gameplay worked, so it was excusable. Definitely going to pick it up when i get a chance.

Yeah, that Boiling Point review on EuroGamer was very likely the best review of anything I've yet to read.

I'm been waiting for a review of BP, looks like it's turned out as I expected - good game, loads of potential, but horribly buggy. Is this what other people have found? Is it worth getting? Do the devs release a decent number of patches?

This eurogamer review is one of the best reviews I've ever read and it just happens to nail the game perfectly.

Is it worth it? I've been playing over 20 hours and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of whats in this game. Yes, its horribly clunky performance-wise and it has some of the most stupid AI of any game in recent memory but as the review says, nothing is show-stopping. Theres a lot i could list that would put people off but the fact remains that I can't seem to put it down. I was up until 3a.m. playing it and I'm the type who is in bed at 9 p.m. most nights.

All I can tell you is that if you like the idea of an absolutely HUGE freeform world and gameplay and you can tolerate some performance and bugs (ok, a LOT) then by all means.....

Yeah. The same with the IGN Guild Wars review. Worst review of a game ever.

The gamepro review was one of the lamest reviews I've ever seen passed off as a review. It doesn't even sound as if the reviewer actually played the game. Typical biased console garbage from Gamepro.
