    The Art and Design of Quake 4 on GameSpy is a Q&A with Raven Software's Eric Biessman and Kevin Long and id Software's Tim Willits about the upcoming Quake game: "We're carrying over a lot of logos from Quake 2 to Quake 4, and a lot of that is incorporated into the user interface and into a lot of the symbols and decals and flags you'll see on the buildings and walls and vehicles, and even on the Strogg characters. We changed some of the designs on some of the Marines -- new logos and so forth. We're carrying over a lot of the old symbols that were done for not only Quake 2 but for Quake 3 and Team Arena."
  • Darkfall
    The Darkfall Q&A on MMORPG.COM talks with the development team at Razorwax about their MMORPG: "We will be releasing new information about Darkfall as soon as we meet our latest development milestone. New screenshots, progress reports, and videos are all in the plans to be released. We're painfully aware that we haven't been forthcoming with information about our progress lately. Darkfall's progress follows development milestones and we're in the midst of a very long development stretch that should be over soon. Our first priority is the development of the game and this squashes our willingness to talk about it before there's something substantial to report."

Lol defrag on Windows 98 which used to restart itself every time you altered anything while it was running.

Quicktime & Real Player should both die a quick death. Trying to watch a video in Real Player and watching the progress bar display "Buffering 28%...Buffering...Buffering...Buffering 32% " for five minutes is as exciting as watching Defrag on Windows 95.

Yeah, it's the mother of all evil... Sometimes, depending on how much coffee I've had.... it really is hard for me to decide which is worse out of Quicktime and Real Player... Not that I generally speak about it these days, but I once held a Real Networks Gold Pass;P

Lol Quicktime should die IMO. I don't like downloading videos and not being able to run them in full screen with the free version. I also don't like being asked to upgrade each time.

Yeah, yeah I know, go get QuickAlternative... but the iPod wanted QuickTime.

Hopefully we'll be able to download these videos in high-res Bink format (or something) so we don't have to watch them from someone's coat pocket or armpit.

I find the concept art in that article to be quite top notch there. Hopefully iD and Raven will produce an amazing experience for us. I just hope they give us some video footage at E3.

While I was always more of an Unreal fan, I'm actually looking forward to Quake4. I think Raven can do it justice, and I sort of miss the Quake2 style gameplay and setting.
