Look up in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. You will notice three squares with odd symbols inside them. There should be one with a symbol like the one seen in Figure 1 below:

Use your mouse (the thing in your right hand) and guide the on-screen object (shown in Figure 2 below) up to it and using your index finger, depress the left button of your mouse while this object is situated over the square containing the symbol shown previously in Figure 1.

Hey, you know I just thought of something...wasn't DE working on some other game that was supposed to be some dark techno thriller or something? I can't remember the title, but I remember something like that and I don't think it was Pariah. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and what happened to that?

It's called Dark Sector and you will hear it first May 12th on IGN and May 13th everywhere else. G4 also gets a 7.5 min long exclusive trailer May 18th on Cinematech.

Let's have a valid SP demo, much less the (PC) game on shelves, before the sequel is planned.

My two cents, you'l get them for free.
Doom3
Great game I'l give it a ruff 7.5. (out of 10)not an 8 cause of the loading of two shells at once in the shotgun as well as the spread of the shotgun. not to mention the insane amount of gibbing. This I fixed in about two hours modding the weapon definitions, the shotgun loads one shell at the time, the spread is narrowed down to about three times that of a real life 12gauge. and regular guns cannot gib, rocket launcher,grenade, plasma, etc. gibs like they should.

HL2
Also a great game I'l give it a 7, because of X|steamX|
the sqaud AI, keeps following into rooms and blocking my movement, but it has huge events IMO, going thru the court yard defenses of Nova prospekt with two gunships is something I almost have to play several times, just for the fun of it. as well as the striders during the last parts of the game. in over all, a well polished game with very fun to watch scripted seqeunces, (D.O.G) but in essence it's just another well made run the rail that is the story line type of game. the only new game mechanic implemented with HL2 is the gravity gun. (witch seems to dumbed down also from the early vids.)

sadly I have given up on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. but looks forward with anticipation to FEAR.
the only true game of last year was GTA San Andreas.

the game reciveing the highest score ever from me is
Thief 2 with the reigning score of 8.5.

in other words theres never been made a game to get the 10.

Geez... I enjoyed them all... HL2, Quake3, UT2004, Doom3, Tribes, BF1942, BF:V, Vengeance, UT2, Renegade, DF, MoH:PA, Wolfenstein 3D...

Guess that's a rarity.

Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 sucked both in their own way. Now stop flaming about this POS and let us prey so they are not going to fsck up S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

God I hope they don't screw STALKER up, or worse stalling it so that it ends up in limbo like Duke Nukem Forever.

As for the SP demo, is that the one that came with some gaming magazine? I heard it was not official or something and had bugs.. Might give it a try nevertheless.

Hehe until you mention now about that AI in HL2, I forgot how revolutionary they built it up to be. I completely forgot about that while I played it. They didn't really express any intelligence at all looking back at single player campaign and really were there just to take the bullets. I remember that like 25 minute E3 video that was widely popular showing off all the HL2 features and they wouldn't stop talking about nonscripted AI. I didn't remember anything like that while I played through it though oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

OK, this game was not a sequel and came out on a nobody publisher that's only put out budget-level junk. How can they possibly know it will sell enough to warrant a sequel? Judging from the reaction thus far, that's quite the gamble.

It's weird how a thread about a Pariah sequel spawns a HL2 vs Doom 3 debate. But whatever, HL2 was superb. Doom 3 wasn't. Even being as objective as possible (which of course is not possible).

D3 had terrible pacing. You saw nearly everything within the first few hours. Almost all the weapons, almost all the enemies. And the darkness grew tiresome.

HL2 was much, much better, but I agree that the AI was disappointing. I expected a jump over HL1 AI, but really didn't feel it. There were a few times that something cool happened, but by and large the AI felt like it was there only to absorb bullets.

D3 was 5/10, HL2 was an 8/10.
